6 Muses celebrate your body art project

About the Project

What does this project consist of?

Celebrate your body and live the experience of being painted by an artist. Your body is art. It doesn't matter if you feel satisfied with your body, or if you have trouble accepting it, your body can express itself and inspire a piece of art.

This is a commissioned work. Trough photographs, you can become one of my muses and model for me. More than 200 women from all over the world have already participated in the project. The language of my art is artistic nude, but you don't necessarily have to be naked when posing for me (4 levels of nudity).

Give yourself this powerful experience of self-love and self-esteem, it is an experience for a lifetime. Our true beauty lives within us.

Nude Painting

Nude painting is a fascinating art form that depicts the human body in its natural splendor.

Nude painting celebrates the natural beauty of the body while expressing feelings of vulnerability and strength.

I want to use nude painting to highlight the natural beauty of the body and invite the viewer to think beyond the physical, and explore the deeper layers of the human self.

For me, nude painting is a powerful way to explore physicality and identity.

ANDREA EMDE

I was born in Berlin, Germany in 1972. In 1998 I moved to the Netherlands, where I studied with several teachers and independent workshops, I participated in several group exhibitions. In the last 5 years I had spent my time between Holland and Mexico. Here in Cuernavaca I have had several exhibitions, both collective and individual.

My artistic concept

With my art, I would like to reflect that everybody is unique and beautiful. My concept is influenced by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi, that celebrates the imperfections. Beauty is not perfect, it has character and irregularities: wrinkles, cracks, stains, gray spots etc. All characteristics that underline the uniqueness of each individual.

We as women, can create a difference in the way we look at our bodies and allow us to stay away from the current beauty mania and see ourselves as wonderful creatures. Beauty is not measurable, it is a subjective impression. Accepting and loving yourself is an important part of plenitude.
